Teachers Day – The birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan which falls on 5th September is commemorated as “Teachers Day” He was the first Vice – President and the second President of our country. He was a renowned scholar in several subjects but Philosophy was his favourite subject. He had 57 University degrees to his credit. These stand as a mute testimony to his academic achievements. He served as a Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy at Maharaja’s College, Mysuru. The Children of our institution honoured the teachers in a unique way. They had made arrangements for refreshments. Later in the day, they danced to the latest Sandalwood numbers and enthralled the audience which included both the teachers and the taught.
