“Raksha Bandhan” is basically a north Indian festival but it is being celebrated in the southern parts of the country nowadays. It is a day on which girls and women tie “rakhee” on the wrists of boys and men. It symbolises brother – sister relationship. Men offer to protect the women and they in turn pray for the well being of men. It promotes a spirit of camaraderie among the boys and girls. The students of our institution enthusiastically responded to the wishes of one another. People of our country believe in universal brotherhood. There is a saying in Sanskrit “Vasudaiva Kutumbaka”. Entire world is one family is the essence of this maxim Swamy Vivekananda addressed the audience in Chicago in 1893 calling them brothers and sisters of America. We , at Jnana Bandhu , put into practice such noble thoughts of great men of yore.
