The first Prime Misnister , Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday falls on 14th November . He was fond of children. He was affectionately called “Chachaji” His birthday is celebrated as “Children’s Day” As part of Children’s Day celebration , we made the children take part in “Colours Day” – the Children of our school were divided into three different colours – yellow ,red and green. The entire school was decked up in these colours. It was a wonderful sight to behold.
To bring out the entrepreneurial skill and spirit of the students , the students were made to sell the agricultural produce and food cooked without fire. They displayed their skills in such a way , nobody even got an inkling that they were school students. It was Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s dream to bring out the scientific temper. As part of this , we conducted Science Exhibition. The children took up the challenge and came out with wonderful experiments. The parents were enthusiastic and happy when they viewed these experiments.
Last but not the least , to unwind , the teachers and the students put on their dancing shoes and swung to the rhythmic beats and music.
